Dental Implants

Permanent solution for tooth loss

Dental implants represent a common procedure of permanently replacing missing teeth without affecting neighboring teeth.

With the help of dental implants, we can fully remedy toothlessness and thus massively enhance all oral functions, meaning we can chew wholefoods and smile with confidence.  Implants can often completely transform your dentures for the better.    Dental implants are the closest thing to an actual tooth.

What makes our implants the best?

Firstly we've been doing implants for a long time. In that time we've witnessed the evolution of dental implants.

Secondly we only use the best implants currently on the market. The best implants available right now are Southern Implants. These implants allow us to give implants to patients who have been previously told it's impossible to do implants in their case. Or we can do implants for a lower price because less implants are required, or we can put implants in areas other dentists using inferior implant technology can't.

The problem with 'cheap' implants

Cheap implants can actually cost more in the end.

Two reasons for this are often more implants are required.  Plus they don't last very long.  Cheap implants often come with a five year warranty which is nothing.  They use cement to hold the tooth in place which is the first thing to break.  Plus they often can't be implanted in certain places, or require expensive painful bone grafts in order to be placed.

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth that is permanently adhered to a titanium root that has been surgically implanted into the gum and bone tissue. The bone tissue fuses to the titanium root, making the implant itself completely permanent.

The resulting replacement tooth is as strong as, if not stronger and more resistant than a real tooth. Dental Implants are the ultimate solution and choice for replacing missing teeth.

Receiving Your Implant

What to expect

The dental implant procedure usually involves a few separate visits.

Visit One: An examination is completed and X-rays taken to determine if you’re a suitable candidate for implants and to determine the size of implant needed.

Visit Two: The titanium root is surgically implanted, with a surgery time of just 20-25 minutes.

Visit Three: After the root has been allowed four months to heal, the tooth is placed onto the root.

Once the procedure is complete, the tooth looks completely natural and will not come out during eating or chewing, even if you bite into an apple, chew gum or even bite into a gobstopper. No one will be able to tell the difference between the implant and your real teeth.
