Busting Dental Myths

Brushing teeth twice daily is the recommended routine but the dentist will also stress that WHEN you brush your teeth is equally important. Many believe that brushing at any time of the day is adequate but this is a dental myth.

Teeth should be properly cleaned early in the morning and last thing at night because:

  • Brushing before bed removes bacteria and food that would decay overnight
  • Morning brushing is important as it removes any leftover food particles and bacteria
